How to manually add Smart UI\MAPS Web Service and Performance Anywhere to IIS

First step is to add the Smart UI or MAPS App Pool in IIS, if it doesn’t exist:

  1. Open Internet Information Services (IIS) in Windows.


2. Right-click on Application Pools and click Add Application Pool
3. In the Add Application Pool dialog, set the Name to SUIAppPool or MAPSAppPool depending if you have Smart UI or MAPS installed and click Finish


4. Right-click SUIAppPool or MAPSAppPool in the list of Application Pools and click Advanced Settings


5. In the Advanced Settings dialog make sure that the Enable 32-bit Application setting is set to True and the Load User Profile is set to True and click OK.

Second step is to add the Smart UI\MAPS Web Service as a Web Application to IIS, if it doesn’t exist:

  1. Expand Sites and right-click Default Web Site and click Add Application
  2. In the Add Application dialog set the Name to VIP or MAPS depending on the product that is installed.
  3. Select SUIAppPool or MAPSAppPool as the Application pool.
  4. For the Physical path browse to the WebService folder of the root folder of the Smart UI or MAPS install and click OK. In Smart UI install the Physical path should resemble: C:\Program Files (x86)\Adroit Technologies\Adroit\SmartUI\WebService

5. Click OK to add Smart UI\MAPS Web Service as a Web Application.
6. To test the Smart UI\MAPS Web Service browse to the following web address depending on your install:

Third step is to add the Performance Anywhere as a Web Application to IIS, if it doesn’t exist:

  1. Expand Sites and right-click Default Web Site and click Add Application
  2. In the Add Application dialog set the Name to PerfAnyw.
  3. Select SUIAppPool or MAPSAppPool as the Application pool.
  4. For the Physical path browse to the PerfAnyw folder of the root folder of the Smart UI or MAPS install and click OK. In Smart UI install the Physical path should resemble: C:\Program Files (x86)\Adroit Technologies\Adroit\SmartUI\PerfAnyw.

5. Click OK to add Performance Anywhere as a Web Application.
6. To test the Performance Anywhere browse to the following web address:
7. Performance Anywhere: http://localhost/perfanyw/

You should now have both Smart UI/MAPS Web Service and Performance Anywhere added and working on IIS

NB: Please restart the machine if you still unable to browse the Smart UI/MAPS Web Service and Performance Anywhere after the additions above. It may require a restart under certain circumstances.
