There are two ways to configure the linechart for runtime configuration, in other words allowing an operator to configure specific pens on the linechart and allow this configuration to be saved for loading at a later stage/next session:
- By using the runtime configuration option of the linechart:
- By using the TrendConfigurator control (explained in the product help)
Using Runtime Configuration
The runtime configuration is configured through 2 properties:
- ViewButtonEnable : This indicates whether runtime configuration is enabled or not
- ViewName: The ViewName must contain a string value. This value will be used as the unique identifier under which the runtime configuration will be saved in the profile of the logged on user. In this way you can configure multiple linecharts, each with a different viewname which will then be saved within the user’s profile. For example, a user can have two linecharts configured on the same form, with the ViewName = “View1” for the first and “View2” for the second. If this user opens the form again in the same session or a new session, the views previously configured will be loaded.
2.The second option, providing a lot more flexibility, but requiring a bit more configuration can be done using the TrendConfigurator control. This is explained in the HOWTO document that is included as part of the product help: How to configure a TrendConfigurator control whose tag structure comes from a database
