A common problem when unable to connect the configurator to a Remote PC is due to Windows Security. In short: both PCs must be on the same network, have file browse access to the other with the same username and password for the configurator to connect .
To check this:
From the Designer/Configurator machine
- Open Windows Explorer OR WindowsKey+R to open a run dialog
- Type in \\PCNAME (where PC Name is the Agent Server PC)
- Normally a username/password dialog should popup
- Type in the username and password and click remember credentials (this last bit is important for the credential manager to save the access details)
- An explorer window should open with file/browse access to the other PC
From the Agent Server PC
- Follow the same steps as per above
- Once this is done, the Configurator should connect correctly
