A small company I work for recently acquired a MAPS license to create relatively simple (for now) SCADA applications. We are still in the process of exploring MAPS’ capabilities. Though the concept of the software seems interesting and potentially powerful, it is seemingly difficult work with to an individual without proper training despite the available tutorials and how-to-do’s.
The problem we are facing in our application is inability to store data from a number agents into placeholder/storage agents in the time span defined by a scheduler agent. The idea is that the process is performed without databases/database agents and/or spiders due to simplicity of the application itself.
As is the case with Adroit scheduler agents, one generates a Boolean TRUE value during predefined time span, which we would like to use to trigger a spider to simply move (copy) data to another agent. Directly linking output of one agent and input of another returns a message that such action may potentially cause problems and an error when the scheduler bit is active: “Service Request: Writes/Updates A Collection Of Data Elements Unsuccessful (Adroit datasource)”.
My question is: Is there a way to manipulate data (e.g. store data from one agent to another) using spiders and scheduler value bit as a logical trigger (with Boolean value change from False to True)?
A simple spider example that illustrates the operation above or any documents on the topic would be more than helpful.
Thank You in advance for any feedback on the matter!
